Another victory for the SMB and "others" team and this time we actually had a sub so people could rest.

My shooting was pretty dismal, but a 3-pointer near the end of the game helped restore a little dignity.

Congratulations Joe

Joe got 4 points and scored a hatrick in the (04/11) game vs. the Leafs. Not bad for a guy who's turning 40 in less than half a year.

Here's an interesting story about Joe's motivation for cranking it up a notch even though the Panthers won't make the playoffs this year.

TBA 2006 Kicks Off

The Trend Micro Basketball Association tournament kicked off today. This is the 6th year I've participated in the tournament.

I haven't gone to play basketball since last year's 2005 tournament, and my spare time hasn't exactly been chockful with activity.

Happy to report the first one is in the books with a victory for our team. Despite only having 5 players (i.e., no reserves) and this being the first time we've all played together, we still managed to beat a much stronger team (with reserves and all).

Still a number of games to go before we can hoist the cup, but I'm feeling positive about our chances.

Flight home takes off in 30+ hours

Cupertino, California is cold and wet. Actually Anaheim was quite cold also.

My flight home takes off in 30+ hours. I've only been away less than 2 weeks, but it seems longer.

Miss the kids and Kate. Each time I call I can hear Anna babbling away in the background. When I left she was only saying a few words, but it sounds like since I've been gone she's transformed into a little chatterbox.
